How has Pilates changed your everyday life?
I feel fitter and more flexible, my posture has improved …
I had very painful hips and found climbing up stairs as painful. Since starting
classes I can run upstairs and my hips no longer hurt.

When did you first start Pilates and how many times a week do you do it?
I start about two years ago with some one to one reformer classes and then felt confident enough to start BarrePlus classes about a year ago. Currently take just one class a week … Hoping to increase to two in the new year.

What class(es) do you do?
I started just doing a reformer class once a week and now do mostly BarrePlus classes.

Why did you decide to do Pilates?
I decided I had to be more active and had taken some Pilates classes years ago. I read a few articles and realised this would be a good way to easy myself back into exercise … I have tried going to a gym but didn’t enjoy the experience.

Why did you choose to come to Sandrine’s Pilates?
One of my daughters had attended classes at Sandrine’s and she encouraged me to give it a try … At the same time I received a card through the door offering a free assessment … I made an appointment to see Sandrine. She was delightful and filled me with confidence that I could achieve my goals.

What is the main improvement you have experienced in your everyday life?
I have regained confidence in myself. … Happier about how I look and feel. My hips are no longer painful … I had worried that I would need a hip replacement.

How would you describe the studio and the teaching?
Great atmosphere – welcoming, friendly and encouraging… The teaching is positive and can be adapted to suit ones strengths and weaknesses … Very positive attitude encouraged always to try that little bit harder. Leave class feel exhilarated and ready for the day ahead.

What are the positive benefits you see doing Pilates as a regular form of exercise?
Keeping me active and feeling happy with myself … My posture has improved look and feel better … This is something I have done for me …
